The Course
Course Description
The races are an out-and-back run, with the exception of the 5k. The 5k starts at the east side of the dam, heads west over the dam and then south to Banks Lake Park in Grand Coulee. The 10k and Half follow the same beginning route as the 5k, and continue on Highway 155 past Banks Lake Park. Turnaround points for each race will be marked.

NOTE: Strollers are not allowed on the 5K, 10K or Half courses.

Aid Stations
Aid/Water Stations will be set up approximately every 1.5 miles along the entire course. The course maps have these stations called out so you can review them. All aid stations will have water and Gatorade. Along with water/Gatorade we will provide medical, as specified, at the 10k/half marathon stations. There will be post race food at the finish line.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please do not discard trash along the course. We will have trash cans available at each aid station. If you have items to throw away we are asking that you hold onto them until you reach the next aid station. The community, parks and state are kind enough to let us use their roads, so please be kind and do your part to keep the course clean.
*ALL RUN THE DAM EVENTS WILL START IN COULEE DAM, WA, ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE GRAND COULEE DAM. Packet pick-up, late registration, awards, AND post-race food will take place at Banks Lake Park, which is located in Grand Coulee, WA, at the end of North Dam and adjacent to our popular Run the Dam Festival vendor fair.
